BAD SISTER Reviews
Reviews "Because Rust Never Sleeps" (2009)
Bad Sister deliver exactly what they have done on their previous albums and that is good old AOR with stunning melodies and hooklines, this is female fronted AOR at its best.
“Because Rust Never Sleeps” is a good album ... Of The 13 tracks the only one I didn’t like was the single ballad, and that’s a pretty good hit rate ... From what I’ve managed to find of their original two albums, this one is better, so existing fans should love it. Of those who have never heard of them, suffice to say that this is a good time to find out more about Bad Sister.
No doubting Bad Sister operate real well when the music is fast-paced. Like the latest model Audi travelling at high speed on the Autobahn, but when they drop gears to a slower speed, the results aren't quite as spectacular, though still highly listenable. Songs that touch the pure AOR genre include the opener 'Surrender', the rather awesome 'Through The Night', plus the synth fest of 'Heat Of The Night' and 'Blackmailed' ... If you're one of those AOR fans who thrive on big keyboards with a bombastic flair a la fellow Germans such as Javan, Joal (well the first album mainly..), Rescue etc, then 'Because Rust Never Sleeps' will appeal greatly.
A great comeback album from Bad Sister that I`m sure the fans will love, so check them out now!!
Melodic Hardrock Today (Norway)
"Take Me As I Am" is another high point of the disc ... Would it be the year 1989 and not the year 2009 it would be a megahit on the radio.
