Straight, powerful and without any compromises - in the late 80's and early 90's BAD SISTER was one of the most popular melodic-hardrock-bands in northern Germany. Melodious rocksongs, earthy rock'n'roll and a great female singer made BAD SISTER to an exceptional act: "female fronted hardrock".
	Between 1988 and 1992 the band from Hamburg released two CDs - in Germany, U.S.A. and Japan. Especially live on stage BAD SISTER could prove the quality of melodic-rock made in Germany. The band played in small clubs and big arenas, supporting for example Deep Purple-shouter Ian Gillan or Detroit-rocklegend Mitch Ryder .
Six years after the split of the band there are still many fans all over the world. The original albums "Heartbreaker" (1989) and "Out Of The Business" (1992) are sold out, but some AOR-fans are still seeking for them. 2001 some forgotten live tapes were unearthed in a storage facility - a live-concert of BAD SISTER in 1990. The former band members came together again and produced the third album "Bad Sister Live" - reminiscence of one of the rare hardrock-bands with a female singer.

The band is still working in the studio - and now we `re able to present you a little piece of brand new music. "Don't Love Me Again" is the title of a new power-ballad of BAD SISTER. The song written by drummer Kai-Ove sounds in good AOR-tradition, although it's only a rough mix. You can hear it here. If you like it, we'll present you some more the next time.

Three months without any update - sorry, but there's a lot of work to do at the moment. The band is going to finish some more playbacks in the next two weeks. Sven plays his guitar riffs, J�rn his basslines and Kai is squeezing the keyboards. BAD SISTER wants to record 12 songs for the new CD. Some news about the recording sessions will follow.

Studio work is going on - although it takes a lot of time. Some more playbacks are ready, the band will start the vocal recordings in the near future. An old friend of BAD SISTER got an exceptional engagement: Jens Skwirblies, keyboarder of Ian Cussick Band, will play with Toto in this summer. He will support the band as a background-keyboarder during the South America Tour - together with Greg Philinganes. Bobby Kimball asked Jens, if he wants to join the band - what a great deal. Sorry, for being late with the update, but we all got a lot to do in the last weeks. The work in studio has been interrupted, because Petra became ill. But now she's fit and well again and the band hopes to continue the recording sessions in the beginning of March. Four playbacks are done already, the new album of BAD SISTER will contain round about 14 songs.

Holiday is unfortunately over. A lot of working is waiting to be done. In September/October BAD SISTER starts recording the new album in a studio near Hamburg. 10 Songs are almost finished, some titles are following in the next week. The songs are brand new, but BAD SISTER stays true to its musical style. Classical AOR and Melodic Rock, Uptempo Hardrock und Ballads. For the first time BAD SISTER is presenting two ballads on a CD. We can give away a little secret: The title of one of the Hardrock ballads is �Don�t Love Me Again�.

"Still running wild" is the title of an interview with BAD SISTER in the June issue of "Metal Maidens". The Dutch print magazine, which is dedicated to women in hardrock and heavy metal, presents on three pages news and stories of BAD SISTER . Co-Editor Toine van Poorten asked Petra and drummer Kai about history and future plans of the band. The magazine is distributed worldwide. Check it out: www.metalmaidens.com .

There's a lot to do at the moment: The band is working on new songs f�r the third BAD SISTER album, which will be released this year. Half a dozen of brand new songs is actually written by the band - midtempo songs, classic rock titles, ballads and uptempo-hardrockers. The guys at Point Music are very satisfied with the selling results so far - and there is also demand from AOR-Fans in Europe and overseas. Keep on rockin' ...

After all these years: "Heartbreaker", the first album of BAD SISTER, is available again. Point Music (Munich) decided to re-release the AOR-classic out of the year 1989. The record label has remastered the album tracks and added the original CD-cover and two bonus-tracks. The bonus-tracks are live-recordings of the songs "Cat On The Run" and "Heartbreaker". You can buy the CD at Point Music . "We're very happy about the re-release", Petra says, "because we've got a lot of demands in the past". Point Music wants to re-release the second CD "Out Of The Business" too.

Sorry, for being late, but now it's done. For the first time you can get a full download of a BAD SISTER song. "Running Wild" is the first BAD SISTER song published on a record. The vinyl sampler "The Living Desert" was published in 1989 and featured six bands from the most northern region of Germany. The band contributed the tracks "Running Wild� and "Cat On The Run�. You can download "Running Wild" here. By the way: On January 25th the band met for the first time for a new recording session.

2002/12/20

It took a long time, but now it's perfect: BAD SISTER is back again! The band members and singer Petra come together after more than six years, to produce a new studio-album . In 2003 the band wants to record a CD with 12-14 songs. "We got a bunch of good songs, which were never released", Petra says. The band decided the reunion after launching the official homepage. Petra: "We thought that the fans had forgotten us after all these years, but they don't. We're glad about it." In the next months the band's got a lot to do with composing and recording sessions. More news are following in january. We wish you a "heavy christmas" and a happy new year!
